Statistics of swimming pool accidents are quite staggering. Children are especially in danger because drowning is the second leading cause of accidental injury-related loss of children among ages 1 to 14. Despite swimming pool regulations, it is apparent that current swimming pool security isn’t enough.
First line of defense in swimming pools are safety fences, they can decrease drowning rates from 50 to 90 percent. But can you risk your child’s life and take that 10% risk? Five minutes or less are needed for the accident to happen. In 90% of the accidents parents or caregivers stated they were watching the child.
So what is the best swimming pool security system from accidental drowning? It should definitely include some sort of monitoring device.
If you don’t have pool curtains then underwater monitor (like Fish Finder with Sonar Sensor
) could be used to constantly scan the water volume and be able to notice you when an object such as human or animal enters the water. Special program would count if the object is below water level for predetermined amount of time (e.g. 30 seconds) it should mean that the object is in danger and take the following actions:
- automatically drain the pool
- give audible siren warning so that other nearby persons could immediately run to help
- instead of draining the pool, safety-net lying on the bottom could be triggered to rise and automatically lift every object into surface.
This method of pool security mentioned above will require some MacGyver like skills but is more safer than standard security measures.

Ever wanted to see what’s going on underwater? That’s possible. Harbotronics aqua pic SNAP360 underwater surveillance camera that you can leave in one area underwater for extended periods of time and it shoots a 360 degree multiple images, so that way whatever comes around your camera from any direction you’ve got a way better chance of getting a shot of it.
So every minute it takes a 360 degrees shot around the bait if you’re trying to capture underwater beasts or just some fish.

Today I was watching BBC channel and my attention caught by this thing called iWallet.
Later I switched to BBC Click website read more about iWallet and after further investigation decided to write a little iWallet review about it.
When you go to the official site of iWallet you a presented with promotional Youtube clip and large banner that says 2 distinct lies about the product:

If you are familiar with basic information about iWallet then you should know that it has a fingerprint protection and bluetooth alarm. But this is enough to cover such situations like protection from your children stealing money from wallet or forgetting it on the table at the restaurant.

If you want to see something in the pitch black water then you have to use a piece of equipment called Didson sonar. It transmits sound waves which came back at different times and angles thus creating a map what’s uderlying the murky waters.
I first saw this thing while watching TV show Monsterquest. I don’t remember which episode it was, but one guy was sailing in the small boat with didson sonar on one side. He was watching the view in the laptop. I think they searched for another “giant” snake. Of course like in every episode they have found nothing but leaves us wondering about how many interesting facts they gathered during the mission.
Didson sonars come for various depths of the water and can be used not only for searching underwater beasts, but also for missing bodies, sunk ships, surveilance of large ships (Q would have some work If he wants James Bond will not get cought up in the water) and many more. Foie gras preparation
It’s been more than 20 years ago when Roger Moore filmed in his last episode of James Bond series, but our hero hasn’t stopped fighting for good off screen.
People probably don’t even think about where and how food comes to their tables and I’m sure if foie gras lovers would see how it is prepared many of them stop eating it.
Sir Roger Moore explains that:
“every three or four hours they come with this big pipe and they force feed the duck or the goose and they shove this thing, they break the beaks, they pierce the collar”
Moore even proposed to buy all the remaining stock of foie gras from Selfridges in exchange that it won’t restock again, but the greediness of retailers are inexpiable so Selfridges even didn’t respond to Moore’s letter to which former James Bond actor ironically scoffed: “I presume maybe he (Selfridges representative) can’t afford the stamps”
Actually people who eat foie gras are eating sick duck’s liver. Look below to see how they differ:

foie gras
The second liver is a result of a forced feeding. More details with video here.
Hear Roger Moore narating short movie clip about foie gras making cruelty here.

While performing an exhibition rally on water in London Thames £1.5 million XSR military interceptor was accidentally shaken by a floating wood chunk. The propeller became jammed and vessel couldn’t move by itself to the shore.
Currently this armour plated vessel is the fastest boat on Earth, totally suitable for James Bond. It carries hidden .50 calibre machine gun to blast away villains and if things got to complicated Bond could easily go away at stunning 85 knots (97mph) speed.
Hovewer this accident proves that even fastest boat isn’t prepared enough for unexpected situations like this. Q wouldn’t be happy to give Bond keys from unfinished piece of machinery so certainly this XSR interceptor needs to be improved.

Robert McGinnis was an artist/ilustrator who designed James Bond “You only live twice” movie poster.
I have personal calendar for 2006 with movie posters from James Bond films and there is Italian version of “You Only Live Twice” movie poster.
Bond is looking fantastic with his black suit and holding spaceman helmet in right hand while pointing gun to the sky in the left hand.
James Bond eyes are very very deep and stares you down even from the print.
Robert McGinnis did a marvelous poster for this movie. Color pallete is simple but powerfull. Red, black and white are all colors of the extremes and this is perfectly suitable for James Bond

Few decades ago this trick would be hardly possible because there weren’t digital cameras available. But today you can protect yourself and your privacy by aplying this spy trick.
When you leave your room or house make an “aerial” photo from the high corner of your room and do the same when you come back to the room. Then transfer your photos to the computer and compare if there is a clear difference between your things.
Even smallest change of the location of your stuff will alert that someone made a rummage and you are on the surveillance.

James Bond was faced to death in the sea after he escaped from dangerous Dr. No trap in the mountain tunnel. When he dropped from about 100 feet height Agent 007 still had his cold weapons: a knife from his dinner table with Dr. No and Honeychile and metal stick from the chamber lock about 1 meter in lenght.
Agent Bond was almost gone in the squid tentacles when he managed to puncture squid eyes and then it released his black ink all around the area and dissapeared from sight.
After that Bond managed to swim to the coast and then attack Dr. No with a pile of guano from excavator
